Mexican federal forces arrested Antonio Guadalupe 'N', alias Lexus, on Thursday, the alleged leader of the Ranger Operational group, a criminal cell linked to the Gulf Cartel's Cyclones faction. Local media reported that the arrest took place in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, in northwestern Mexico, in the Sandoval community. The operation involved agents from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), National Guard (GN), Mexican Air Force, along with the Agency for Criminal Investigation (AIC) and prosecutors specialized in organized crime (Femdo). Hours before the arrest, the Matamoros City Government had published a notice on social media about the movement of security forces. 'A high-risk situation is reported in the Sandoval ejido (community),' the notice stated.
