After the state budget was approved, the government of Nuevo León (NL) announced an increase in the financing cap for SMEs from 5 to 8 million pesos (mdp). For those companies that export their products to Asia, Europe, and Latin America, the credit may reach up to 10 mdp, provided that they do not target the United States and Canada.
As part of the relaunch of the brand Made in Nuevo León, Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda emphasized the importance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Mipymes) within the state’s economy. These represent 99 percent of economic units and generate 64 percent of jobs in the region.
To strengthen Mipymes, the state project includes cost-free actions for businesses, such as brand registration and the creation of exhibition spaces at various local and national events. García explained that the brand Made in Nuevo León will be present at all activities, events, and spaces related to the state’s business clusters.
The governor thanked the support of various companies such as Amazon, Mercado Libre, Alibaba, Farmacias del Ahorro, Oxxo, Walmart, HEB, and others, that have joined the Made in Nuevo León project. The initiative aims to promote local production and enhance the presence of Nuevo León products both in the national and foreign markets.
