A new leadership team for the Urbanism Society in Monterrey was sworn in, aiming for a stronger, more inclusive city. Architect Pricila Dávila leads the team and emphasizes proactive participation amid modern challenges.


New Urban Development Council Takes Office in Monterrey

In a ceremony led by Alfonso Martínez, Secretary of the Environment of the State representing the Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, the new Board of Directors of the Urbanism Society of the Monterrey Region was sworn in. This ordinary session highlighted the importance of urbanism and the environment in the development of the city.

Architect Pricila Dávila was appointed president of the Urbanism Society, taking over from Carlota Vargas. Dávila expressed her appreciation for her predecessor and called on young members and public servants to join in continuing to work on the transformation of the city. The board of directors is composed of Raymundo Galán González, Arturo Garza Villarreal, José Luis Almanza Rueda, León Guillermo Staines Díaz, and Mariela Saldívar Villalobos.

Dávila emphasized the importance of adapting to current times, shaped by globalization, technology, and climate change. In this sense, she stressed the need to take advantage of these changes to improve the quality of life in Monterrey. The president urged the gathering of talents and teamwork to achieve a more inclusive and prepared city.

In her speech, Dávila underscored the responsibility of the Urbanism Society to be a reference in urban issues. She highlighted the importance of creativity and adaptability to face the challenges presented by the current context. Additionally, she called for proactivity and the unity of all involved in the transformation of the city into an optimal place for the families of Nuevo León.
