The state executive of Nuevo León is showing a clear sign of the new relationship it seeks to establish with the Legislature. This is manifested in the publication of various agreements sent by the State Congress in the Official State Gazette, following a request made by the current legislature to Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda.
The idea behind this action is to align positions prior to a meeting with opposition leaders. The president of the Legislature, Lorena de la Garza, requested the publication of more than 500 matters as a show of goodwill, to which Governor García responded by publishing nearly 220 matters that were pending.
In the governor's words, this publication marks a significant advancement in fostering communication and coordinated work between both powers. However, regarding the rest of the documents, the state government emphasizes that they continue to conduct a detailed analysis. Some of the matters have not been published yet as they are in process with the Supreme Court, and others do not have the received stamp from the Executive.
Through an official communication, the Executive informed that it has already begun the process of reviewing the remaining documents, thus marking a first step towards greater collaboration and transparency between the Executive and Legislative powers in Nuevo León.
