A preliminary report warns that lions may have been released on a property known as Los Pinos Reserve, in the municipality of Ocoyoacac, State of Mexico, allegedly by a man who entered the place in an apparent state of intoxication. According to information that began to circulate on Sunday night in local media and social networks, the individual would have entered the premises where animals are kept and opened the cages of the felines. After the alleged release of the animals, the same subject would have remained inside the property and to avoid being attacked by the lions, he took refuge in one of the cages. In images spread on social networks, the felines are observed walking inside the patio of the property, while a dog barks, which caused concern among neighbors in the area. The authorities of the State of Mexico have not issued official information about what happened at the site, nor have they confirmed the circumstances in which the animals would have left their cages. The incident is preceded by the capture of six people who in previous days tried to steal the animals.
