Chedraui Expands with New Investments and Openings in 2025

In 2024, Chedraui expanded its presence in Mexico and the USA, investing over 10 billion pesos for further growth and opening new stores. The company focuses on operational optimization while continuing to consolidate its market position.


Chedraui Expands with New Investments and Openings in 2025

In 2024, Grupo Chedraui expanded its network with the addition of 84 stores in Mexico and six in the United States, reaching a total of 925 branches, of which 541 are in Mexico and 384 in the United States. For the current year, the company projects a revenue increase of 7.5 to 8.5 percent, which could bring them to 305.712 billion pesos, compared to the 281.762 billion pesos reported in 2024.

The group led by Antonio Chedraui Eguía plans to invest around 10.394 billion pesos in 2025, equivalent to 3.4 percent of its consolidated sales. This investment will be dedicated to the expansion and maintenance of its store network, with the planned opening of five Chedraui, five Super Chedraui, and 130 Supercitos in Mexico, as well as four El Super and one Fiesta Mart in the United States.

Although this year's investment would represent a reduction of 9.3 percent compared to that made in 2024, Grupo Chedraui continues to focus its efforts on organic growth and diversification. The opening of new branches indicates its commitment to growth and presence in the Mexican and U.S. markets.

The General Assembly of Infonavit, composed of 30 members in a tripartite manner, has among its main functions the approval of the budget and plans of the institute. The Concanaco Servytur has obtained 50 percent of the designated seats for the business sector in this assembly, strengthening its position in the business field.

In another context, Mexico participates in CERAWeek, a crucial event in the energy sector held in Houston. Sales growth in Mexico is expected to be 8.5 percent and in the United States 4 percent, driven by the expansion of its sales floor in both countries.

Finally, Seguros Monterrey Nueva York Life inaugurates a new headquarters in Puebla, reaffirming its commitment to the economic development and financial protection of families in the region. Secretary Luz Elena González Escobar met with her U.S. counterpart, Chris Wright, to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector.
