The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of Puebla has organized a special operation in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR), the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the National Guard, and municipal police to ensure safety during the celebration of 'Day of the Dead.'
From October 29 to November 2, the SSP will intensify aerial and land patrols, as well as proximity tasks, focusing on high-traffic areas such as cemeteries, banks, shopping centers, and highways. With the support of more than eight thousand surveillance cameras, personnel from the Control, Coordination, Communications, Computing, and Intelligence Center (C5i) and the Command and Control Centers (C2) will supervise activities during and after this holiday.
The SSP also calls on the population to use the emergency number 911 responsibly. According to the SSP, the special operation includes the participation of 1,184 state police officers who will work to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the 'Day of the Dead' festivities in Puebla.
