
The tenth edition of the Smart City Latam Congress 2025 will take place in the capital of Puebla, marking its return after being suspended since 2019. The event is scheduled from June 10 to 12 of next year at the Exposition Center. Approximately 125,000 visitors are expected to attend, along with the participation of experts, opinion leaders, local authorities, technology companies, and organizations from more than 180 cities worldwide.
The governor of Puebla, Sergio Céspedes Peregrina, emphasized the importance of this international congress for the recovery of congress tourism in the state capital. He mentioned that the Smart City Latam Congress will remain in the region for the next five years. Additionally, he plans to invite the 217 municipal presidents of the state to attend along with their secretaries of infrastructure, urban development, and mobility to discuss the proper growth of their respective cities.
The municipal president of the capital, Pepe Chedraui Budib, highlighted that this event will bring the occupancy of 35,000 hotel rooms and generate an economic spill of nearly two billion pesos. The city of Puebla is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors interested in learning more about the management of smart cities, innovation, and digital transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
