The Business Coordinating Council (CCE) organized a ceremony to honor 56 men and women from the security forces in Puebla, although they did not have the corresponding certificates. Despite this detail, their sacrifice was recognized by the present business chambers.

Héctor Sánchez Morales, leader of the CCE, highlighted the collaboration between the municipal government and state and federal authorities for the sake of security in Puebla. In his words, he stated: “Today we gather to pay tribute to those who leave home every day to fulfill their duty. We honor and recognize 56 individuals who, with their dedication, have contributed to the safety and health of our state.”

For his part, Governor Sergio Céspedes Peregrina praised the courage of the security personnel, emphasizing the importance of acting according to the law to maintain order. He also called for continued recognition and demands of the authorities' commitment to security in the state.

In this regard, Céspedes Peregrina highlighted the salary increase of state police in recent months and the incorporation of 1,300 new certified police officers in the municipalities. He also urged the new municipal presidents to continue strengthening this effort for public safety.

Before concluding the event, Ariosto Goytortua, president of the National Chamber of the Development and Promotion Industry of Housing (Canadevi) of Puebla, symbolically handed over the keys to a home to the wife of the deceased police officer, Manuel Cortez Zamorano, in recognition of his bravery and commitment to the safety of the residents of Puebla.

The event, named "Puebla Thanks," also served to pay tribute to those who lost their lives this year in the line of duty. Special mention was made of the two police officers killed in Xoxtla on October 22, highlighting the importance of strengthening support for those who risk their lives in the course of their work.
