Regarding the relationship with the U.S. government, Armenta Mier affirmed that his administration will act prudently but will not tolerate offenses or xenophobic messages from Donald Trump or other U.S. officials. He emphasized that there will always be a Puebla leader to defend the migrant population, highlighting the sovereignty of Mexico and its readiness to face challenges.
The governor announced an investment of 10 million pesos to improve the Casa Puebla in the United States with the aim of strengthening the connection with the migrant community. Three thousand direct and indirect jobs have been guaranteed, along with housing managed by the National Housing Commission to support deported Puebla migrants. These measures are coordinated with the Federation through the Mexico Plan, which offers housing, health, education, and transportation services for migrants.
Additionally, a specific budget was allocated to cover the first year of rent for Infonavit housing for deported Puebla migrants, although the exact amount was not detailed.
