Significant Drug Bust in Puebla and Tlaxcala

Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Naval Ministry (Semar) and the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the Attorney General's Office (FGR) carried out a joint operation that culminated in the detention of 14 people and the dismantling of two clandestine laboratories used for drug manufacturing in Puebla and Tlaxcala.

During the searches conducted in three locations, firearms, ammunition, communication equipment, and other devices linked to a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking were seized. The SSPC identified this criminal group through exhaustive investigative work that allowed the gathering of information to request search warrants from the control judge.

In Tlaxcala, two laboratories were discovered with chemical precursors, a long gun, and 320 cartridges, with no arrests made on-site. In Puebla, specifically in the San Cristóbal la Calera neighborhood, 12 individuals were arrested and short guns, loaded magazines, synthetic drugs, and telephone equipment were confiscated.

At another location in the city of Puebla, two individuals were arrested in possession of a short gun and 700 grams of crystal meth. After informing the detainees of their constitutional rights, the premises were placed under police custody and the seized items were made available to the Public Ministry to continue the investigations.

The authorities involved in these actions emphasized their commitment to work together to dismantle criminal groups and combat drug production in the country.
