Querétaro will host the second national Bicycle Forum, an event expected to gather more than 15,000 people. The meeting is scheduled from April 2 to 6, 2025, as detailed by various groups related to mobility and cycling in the state.
This national bicycle forum seeks to address various issues regarding mobility, challenges to promote bicycle use, and propose possible solutions. Agustín Osornio, from the Saca la Bici association, highlights that nearly 10 municipalities will be impacted by this event, covering from the metropolitan area of Querétaro to the Sierra Gorda of the state, specifically in Pinal de Amoles.
Participation is expected from countries such as Spain, Uruguay, and Brazil, as well as various entities from Mexico. Juan Carlos Bravo, representative of the Citizen Coalition for Sustainable Mobility QM21, mentions that among the thematic axes of the forum are childhood, youth, gender perspective, elderly persons, people with disabilities, relatives of traffic victims, human rights, public health, environment, and cycle tourism, among others.
Under the motto "Making the invisible visible," the event includes activities in both public spaces and educational institutions, including the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Anáhuac University, museums, galleries, and public squares in the Historic Center. Simultaneously, Querétaro will host the Shimano Fest from April 3 to 6, an event that will feature participation from leading international brands in the sector, aiming to position the state as a benchmark in active mobility.
