Pride March LGBT+ in Querétaro

The next Saturday, June 14, in Querétaro, the ninth edition of the LGBT+ Pride and Dignity March will take place, under the slogan "Against hate and inequality, pride and dignity." This annual mobilization aims to highlight sexual and gender diversity in the state, in a global context of setbacks in human rights.

Fernanda Reséndiz, from the Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of this edition, as the possible approval of the Gender Identity Law in the state is approaching, a historic milestone. Despite these advances, the LGBT+ community in Querétaro still faces harassment, discrimination, and aggression in various areas, so the march is an opportunity to demand respect and highlight these issues.

The march will start from Jardín Guerrero at 16:30, after a LGBT+ Business Market takes place at noon in this location, where free HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B tests will be offered. More than 15,000 people are expected to participate, as in the previous edition.

During the event, local artistic expressions will take place, and the presence of singer María León will be featured. The call remains open until May 23 for local artists interested in participating in the activities.

The formation order of the contingent will be organized as follows: with a banner displayed at the front, followed by the deaf community, people with reduced mobility, collectives, associations, and companies, among others. The invitation is open to all citizens to join, support, and celebrate diversity in Querétaro.
