Querétaro's Campaign to Provide Blankets

The municipality of Querétaro has distributed around 10,000 blankets in vulnerable communities due to low temperatures as part of the "Covering Hearts" campaign. The president of the Municipal DIF, Adriana Olvera, mentioned that the goal for this winter season is to reach 44,000 blankets and encouraged citizens to contribute with donations before the campaign ends in January.

During visits to the communities, in addition to the blankets, requests have been received to address other needs such as recreational areas and public works. The areas where assistance has been prioritized are Santa Rosa Jáuregui and Felipe Carrillo, considered the most susceptible areas to the cold in the capital. The blankets have been delivered to both elderly people and the general population.

Adriana Olvera stated that so far, 20,000 blankets have been accumulated and that the requests received are registered by the DIF to be attended to. The "Covering Hearts" campaign aims to continue collecting blankets to meet the established goal and help more people in need.
