The municipality of Querétaro has decided to double the number of inspectors responsible for overseeing clubs, bars, and restaurants in the state capital. With the authorization of the municipal president, Felifer Macías, the staff will increase from 12 to 24 once the corresponding budget is approved.
"This means visiting establishments, even when there are no specific complaints, to ensure their proper functioning," explained Juan Carlos Arreguín, technical secretary of the Secretariat of Government. The measure will not only allow addressing citizen complaints and reports but also carry out preventive work.
So far this year, more than 4,000 inspections have been conducted in clubs, bars, and restaurants in response to reports received via phone and social media. Since the current municipal administration began, 27 closures of establishments have been ordered, in addition to the 17 carried out by the State Government in the municipality of Querétaro.
This decision aims to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard the safety of citizens who enjoy these establishments. The increase in the number of inspectors seeks to guarantee effective control and constant supervision to prevent possible risky situations or violations that could affect the tranquility of the community.
