New political party in Querétaro seeks representation

The civil association Somos México has begun the corresponding work to establish itself as a new political party at the national level with coverage in the different entities of the country. The population is being called to join the district assemblies for the purpose of being part of this new institute.

According to Gonzalo Bárcenas, state representative, at least 200 of the 300 federal districts need to be covered, with a minimum participation of 300 people in each. In Querétaro, the start will focus on the III local district prioritizing the suburban area, leaving local district I for the end, with a one-year deadline to complete this process.

The main objective of this new political formation is to recover true representation in politics, offering a solid alternative for the citizenry. It has been pointed out that politics in Mexico has been dominated by partisan interests, economic elites, and a political class that has lost touch with the reality of the people.

In the words of Gonzalo Bárcenas, 'Instead of focusing on solutions, politicians have focused on confrontation, populism, and manipulation of discourse. Traditional parties have reduced public debate to empty slogans while the problems of the citizenry remain unresolved.'

The proposed strategy is based on clear and direct language, concrete and viable proposals aimed at solving the everyday problems of the population, a structure of horizontal participation, innovation in communication and digital presence, and a firm commitment to truth and transparency, avoiding manipulations.

One of the key principles of this new party will be that candidacies are assigned through primary processes open to the citizenry, and the nomination for elected positions will be limited to members of the administrative structure as a measure to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure transparency in management.

Finally, the organization stated that it has no relation to the figure of Xóchitl Gálvez, despite its origins tracing back to the Marea Rosa movement and the Frente Cívico Nacional.
