Ricardo Brieño Ávila Candidates for CANIRAC Presidency

Ricardo Brieño Ávila aspires to preside the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Seasoned Foods A.C. (CANIRAC) in the Querétaro Delegation. To this end, he has registered the slate "Canirac for Everyone" with the intention of participating in the process. In a press conference, Brieño Ávila highlighted that his main objective is to make the chamber accessible to all entrepreneurs, whether small, medium, or large, and to promote a closer relationship.

The slate consists of Ricardo Brieño Ávila as president, Leonardo Montiel and Jesús Ismael Rosas as vice presidents, Francisco Javier Leyva as secretary, and Miguel Palacios Reyes as treasurer. The members of the slate expressed their desire to foster a new entrepreneurial culture and strengthen the business community present in the 18 municipalities of the region.

In this sense, they will focus on promoting constant work not only in the capital but throughout the state. Additionally, they seek for the chamber to be consistent, active, participative, and respected, putting aside personalism, egos, and parochialism, while promoting continuous education programs and collaboration with the authorities.

The lack of issuance of the call for the upcoming Assembly, scheduled for February 18, has been reported, as members have not been notified. For this reason, the dismissal of the current president, Rosalinda Hernández Rosiles, has been requested, arguing that this omission nullifies the assembly according to the organization’s statutes.

In the context of this dispute, the case of Cantaritos has been recalled, indicating that the current president did not adequately defend the interests of the affiliates against imposed time restrictions. Hernández Rosiles has defended her management by stating that she has worked with commitment and transparency for the benefit of the restaurant guild.

From the national delegation of CANIRAC, a statement was issued inviting affiliates to participate in the upcoming assembly, expressing confidence that, through unity and teamwork, this industry will continue to strengthen in the state of Querétaro.
