Coparmex Calls for Judicial Election Observers

The national president of Coparmex, Juan José Sierra Álvarez, during his visit to Querétaro, expressed the intention for the members of the confederation to participate as observers in the judicial election. He emphasized the importance of respecting the independence of the Judiciary to strengthen democracy and legal certainty, which are fundamental to building trust in investment. Sierra Álvarez encouraged replicating at the national level the judicial reform model implemented in Jalisco, focused on the autonomy of the judiciary, transparent processes, and technicalities.

In her speech during the commitment ceremony of the LX State Board of Directors, Beatriz Hernández assumed the presidency for the second consecutive term. Hernández committed to exercising her role as a rational and assertive counterweight, with responsibility, empathetic listening, and firm and consistent action. She highlighted the effectiveness of the Inclusive Development Model in strengthening the market economy, thanks to citizen participation and collaboration between key sectors of society.

Juan José Sierra Álvarez stressed that economic stability and business confidence are intrinsically linked to a solid, technical, and transparent judicial system. From Coparmex, he assured that they will work together with civil society organizations to oversee the judicial process and ensure that reforms strengthen the rule of law instead of weakening it. He disagreed with the proposal to elect judges and magistrates by popular vote, arguing that this threatens impartiality and subjects justice to political interests.

Beatriz Hernández, reiterating her commitment in her second term as president, emphasized her conviction to be a rational and assertive counterweight, advocating for responsible and empathetic dialogue. She highlighted the importance of the Inclusive Development Model to strengthen the market economy, thanks to citizen participation and collaboration among different sectors of society, committing to continue promoting this approach during her administration.
