Morena Aims for Victory in Querétaro 2027 Elections

Luisa María Alcalde Luján, national president of Morena, visited Querétaro to talk about the internal projects necessary to win the governorship in the 2027 elections. During a meeting with party members in the Villagrán hall in the municipality of Corregidora, she highlighted the importance of political organization and the expansion of the party's membership. She proposed reaching 10 million registered members and strengthening internal democratic processes.

In her words, Alcalde Luján emphasized the 'enormous possibilities' of Morena in Querétaro to succeed in 2027 and assured that the Fourth Transformation will come in that year. She mentioned the existence of several suitable profiles to lead the candidacy for the governorship, although she stressed that they will be chosen by the citizenry. In case of a lack of consensus, the survey method will be used.

The selection process for plurinominal deputies will be conducted through a lottery to offer equal opportunities for participation. Alcalde Luján emphasized the importance of unity and the priority of the movement over personal aspirations, following Claudia Sheinbaum's approach. She recalled the party's essence as a movement committed to just causes and the defense of the most vulnerable.

The president of Morena stressed the need for the profiles nominated by the party to respect the fundamental principles to maintain the integrity of the movement. She emphasized that governments stemming from Morena must remain connected with the people and not lose sight of the original values. Alcalde Luján reiterated the commitment to continue fighting for important causes and to continue the informational strategy backed by the newspaper Regeneración.
