The National Youth March to Christ the King 2025 is approaching, and the authorities in Guanajuato are working hard to ensure the safety and well-being of the more than 35,000 pilgrims expected to attend the event. In the previous edition, states like Zacatecas, Tamaulipas, and Jalisco topped the list of participants, demonstrating the national reach of this traditional march.
To ensure that the march takes place without hitches, a broad security deployment has been organized, which will include the National Guard, the State Highway Police, and the traffic police of Guanajuato and Silao. These entities will work together to guarantee traffic flow and the protection of participants.
In addition to traffic safety measures, the authorities have also implemented preventive actions, such as monitoring LP gas facilities in nearby businesses, anti-forest fire measures, and the presence of health units and trained personnel to handle medical emergencies.
Hugo César Romero, Undersecretary of Security, has emphasized that the priority in Guanajuato is to safeguard the safety of attendees, and to achieve this, a force of more than 260 members from different corporations has been arranged, including the National Guard, State Police, and local authorities.
The iconic Cerro del Cubilete, where the monument to Christ the King is located, is preparing to welcome thousands of young pilgrims on January 24 and 25. With a total of 44 emergency units, including patrol cars, ambulances, and fire trucks, efforts are made to safeguard the integrity of all attendees and ensure that the National Youth March to Christ the King proceeds safely and without incidents.
