The municipality of Tala had the highest number of fires with 9, followed by Amatitlán with 2, and Cocula and Magdalena with 1 fire each. The most devastating fire occurred at the Carrizo Dam, in the "La Primavera" forest of Tala, affecting 750 hectares in the Oak-Galleries Forest.

The fire in Magdalena at the Mina el Huajical site affected 90 hectares, placing it second in terms of surface damage. The fire recorded in Amatitlán on March 14 is in third place. Although all fires have been controlled, there are warnings about the possibility of facing a complicated period as the dry season is beginning.

The University of Guadalajara also issued a prevention message, highlighting that Jalisco ranks among the top places nationally in surface area affected by fires in 2025. Authorities and citizens are encouraged to refrain from activities involving the use of fire in vulnerable areas. The importance of avoiding campfires, smoking, or using grills in forests to prevent the spread of accidental fires is emphasized.
