
On the La Pera - Cuautla highway, at the height of the municipality of Tepoztlán, an accident occurred where a tractor-trailer transporting natural gas overturned, leading to a partial closure of traffic in both directions. This incident has caused complications in the area, creating significant traffic chaos due to the road closure.
The emergency call reporting the accident was received at 07:15 in the morning at kilometer 10+300, shortly after the Tepoztlán toll booth in the direction towards the eastern area of the state. As a preventive measure, an evacuation order was issued for the neighborhoods of San José, Tejería, Presa, and Navidad, located near the affected area.
The State Coordination of Civil Protection of the State of Morelos is working on responding to the accident, where the valves of the involved vehicle transporting hazardous material have been successfully closed. So far, no injuries have been reported according to local sources.
On the other hand, on the Ciudad Mendoza - Córdoba highway, kilometer 288, traffic has been reduced due to another accident involving a tractor-trailer with a mechanical failure. Similarly, a partial closure has been registered on the Mexico - Puebla highway, kilometer 95, heading towards Mexico City.
Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) reported the closure of traffic on the La Pera - Cuautla highway since 8:52 AM, with the Tepoztlán toll plaza closed in the direction of Cuautla. Traffic is being redirected to the Oacalco toll plaza, towards La Pera, while the situation caused by the accident is being addressed.
