Grupo Firme has received death threats in Tijuana via a narcomanta, demanding they cancel their concert in Mazatlán. The threats extend to all band members and staff, warning severe consequences if they perform.

Grupo Firme Threatened Ahead of Mazatlán Concert

The Grupo Firme was recently found on the list of singers and groups threatened with death through narcomantas. The threat came after they received a message demanding that they not perform a concert scheduled for March. Singers like Natanael Cano and Peso Pluma had already received similar threats in the past. However, on this occasion, the narcomanta was directed at Eduin Caz and the members of Grupo Firme.

The narcomanta that appeared in the vicinity of the La Gloria neighborhood in Tijuana warns them not to show up at the Mazatlán Carnival on March 1, otherwise, all members, including the staff, would have their lives taken. The message also refers to knowing where they live, extending the threat even to the group's technicians.

Despite the threat, the members of Grupo Firme and Eduin Caz have not publicly reacted to the message, and the authorities have not yet provided additional details about this incident. On the other hand, Peso Pluma had to cancel a concert in September 2024 after receiving similar threats in Tijuana. However, on this occasion, the threats were directed at a concert in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and not in Tijuana.

Grupo Firme shared on social media the dates of their tour this year, confirming that the concert scheduled at the Mazatlán Carnival is the first of the tour, set for March 1. In addition, they have a performance scheduled in Tijuana on April 12 at the Estadio Caliente, following the possible performance in Mazatlán.
