New Board of Directors Installed in Tlaquepaque

The National Chamber of Commerce of Tlaquepaque has inaugurated its new Board of Directors for 2025–2026, led by Angélica Aguayo Pérez. The event emphasized commitments to local economic development and recognized outstanding contributions from prior members and businesses.


New Board of Directors Installed in Tlaquepaque

The National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Tlaquepaque (Canaco Tlaquepaque) held the swearing-in of its new Board of Directors for the period 2025-2026, which will be presided over for the second consecutive year by Licenciada Angélica Aguayo Pérez. The objective of this Board is to reaffirm its commitment to the business and economic development of the Jalisco municipality.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by state and municipal authorities, representatives from chambers and business associations. It was presided over by Octavio de la Torre de Steffano, president of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce (Concanaco Servytur), who formally swore in the members of the new board. Also present were the mayor of Tlaquepaque, Laura Imelda Pérez Segura, and Sofía Cruz del Río Castellanos, representing the governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus.

During the event, recognitions were awarded to outgoing councilors, former presidents of the advisory council, and outstanding entrepreneurs for their trajectory, leadership, and commitment to the economic development of Tlaquepaque. Among the awardees were Martha Teresita Gallardo González, Ángel de Jesús Peña García, and Alejandro Orozco Pérez. Additionally, the "San Pedro" award was given to Gamón & Gamón Veterinarias S.A. de C.V and the "Tlaquepaque" award to Juan José Olivera Villalba of Grúas Olivera.

In her message, the new president of the Board of Directors, Angélica Aguayo, thanked the trust of the guild and expressed her commitment to work towards strengthening the commercial and service sector of the municipality. The mayor of Tlaquepaque, Laura Imelda Pérez, acknowledged the work of the outgoing council and congratulated the new members, urging them to continue promoting the economic development of the municipality.

In the words of the mayor: "Organized commerce is a fundamental pillar in the economy, and our municipality has an important collaboration with you. I am convinced that by finding common ground we can work together for the benefit of our municipality."
