Controversy Surrounds Chivas' Disallowed Goal

The disallowed goal of Chivas during the Toluca match ignites controversy, with allegations of VAR manipulation and demands for original audio evidence from Liga MX authorities.

Controversy Surrounds Chivas' Disallowed Goal

The VAR audio presented a different image from what was seen during the match regarding the controversial play of the disallowed goal to Chivas. It shows a line different from the one drawn live and a resolution of the play much quicker, which fueled belief in a possible manipulation.

The former referee of Liga MX, Felipe Ramos Rizo, stated that the audios and lines drawn for the disallowed goal of Chivas were edited in the publication of the Referees' Commission. Despite this, the match continued and Toluca won 2-1.

Chivas decided to demand the original VAR audios after the audios and videos of the play were released, generating even more controversy. In response to the situation, the club sent a letter to the authorities of Liga MX and the Commission to clarify whether there was manipulation of the evidence.

The Referees' Commission responded to Ramos Rizo's statements claiming that the rumors about the editing of the audios were false. The previous week, during the match between Toluca and Chivas, a goal for Guadalajara was disallowed for an alleged offside by Alan Pulido, igniting the controversy over the interpretation of VAR in that action.
