Doctor Detained After Threats at Football Match

The Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) announced the arrest of Rolando 'N', who was seen threatening several fans during a football match between Toluca and Cruz Azul on April 19 at the Nemesio Diez Stadium in Toluca.

In a video shared on social media, Rolando 'N', who identifies himself as a surgeon, is seen in the middle of a discussion with other spectators in the stands, causing public disorder. As he was being removed from the stadium by security personnel, he threatened a fan who was recording him, stating that he would send the 'Michoacán drug cartel' to him, referring to a criminal organization from that state.

Following the dissemination of the video, FGJEM initiated an investigation for possible crimes related to this incident and other ongoing events. The detainee was located and arrested on April 22, appearing before the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine his legal situation.

Rolando 'N' is identified by social media users as a neurosurgeon practicing in Metepec, State of Mexico, and Zitácuaro, Michoacán. The Attorney General's Office continues to investigate to clarify if he is related to other illicit acts, without yet confirming whether he will remain in preventive detention or face charges while free.
