On Friday, November 15, 2024, videos have emerged on social media warning Mexican women about a scammer using the Bumble dating app. One of the victims of this scam has decided to speak publicly to prevent other women from falling into the trap. The scammer, identified as Jonathan Sotelo, has amassed a fortune through his tricks, which include charming words and verses that seduce his victims. He has managed to acquire a small plane and an apartment in Tulum, Quintana Roo, among other assets, through his deceit.

One of the women who reported Jonathan Sotelo is Fernanda García, who revealed that he stole nearly two million pesos from her after making her sign false documents during the nearly two years they were together. It is estimated that at least 79 women have been scammed by this individual. After discovering the extensive list of victims on a Facebook page where other women shared their experiences, García decided to make her story public and alert more people about Sotelo's fraudulent methods.

The women who contacted Fernanda García revealed that the scammer not only stole large sums of money from them but also physically abused them and carried out criminal actions in their names. Due to these reports, there has been a call to spread the image of Jonathan Sotelo to prevent more people from falling for his scams. Fernanda García urges to make the photo of the Bumble scammer go viral in order to stop future frauds and protect more women from his scams.
