The Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo confirmed the arrest of four people, three men and one woman, who allegedly broke into the Diamante K hotel, owned by businessman Roberto Palazuelos, located in Tulum. The detainees are accused of their probable participation in the crime of attempted robbery and qualified injuries against an employee of the establishment. According to the official information issued by the institution, the events took place during the early hours of Wednesday when the group entered the premises and threatened an employee to demand the keys to the place. When the worker refused the request, he was beaten by the individuals, who then fled. The Attorney General's Office specified that the arrest was possible thanks to the review of surveillance video records and intelligence work. Roberto Palazuelos emphasized that there was never a threat or violence against guests and tourists since there was no one, and the aggression was only against the hotel's security guard. The four alleged perpetrators have been placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, which will determine their legal situation within the corresponding constitutional term.
