Páquita la del Barrio passed away at the age of 77 after suffering a heart attack. This was reported by the representative of the singer known for the song "Rata de dos patas", who also mentioned about her last days "Coronel Nara."

Páquita la del Barrio faced various health problems, including problems with her sciatic nerve, which caused her mobility issues. A performance of the song "Me saludas a la tuya" was found on the way to her recovery and she was preparing to return to the stage.

"Páquita la del Barrio arrived in Veracruz for a regular check-up, however, she stayed home to take care of her sister, Violeta," her manager said on January 16.

"Páquita", the representative of the singer known for the song "Rata de dos patas", described the last days of the Mexican artist in her hometown Veracruz.

"She was ready to return, we were supposed to start the carnival here in Veracruz, to have a performance at the National Auditorium, we had to perform in front of the public that was waiting for her (...). I spoke with her on Saturday, and she very clearly said that she couldn't walk," the manager of Páquita la del Barrio explained in an interview with the program Ventaneando.

The manager interpreted the song "Trígdŷ я тебя обманывала" could break her down, and he also mentioned that her last day of life was "normal".

"I asked her not to be sad and to age gracefully, she said that it didn’t matter, whether she would be sitting or not, people would applaud and appreciate her efforts, I managed to uplift her, yesterday was a normal day, she took a bath, ate, rested, the day passed very calmly, she could have gotten up, for these two weeks she had more strength and she was ready to return to the stage (...). I want to thank her sister Violeta, who was with her since December," her manager continued.

"'Páquita' disclosed more details about the death of Páquita la del Barrio, here's what he said:

"This week she was supposed to return to Mexico, but this morning they called us and said that she was unresponsive and pale, they called an ambulance, but it was already too late," he concluded in the same interview.

Páquita la del Barrio's last song was a duet with Yuri, who stated that it was a joint project.
