Relatives of Sinaloa Cartel Leader Arrested in Mexico

In Zapopan, Jalisco, a joint operation by security forces led to the arrest of two members of the Lindoro family, close relatives and financial operators for 'Los Chapitos' faction leader Iván Archivaldo Guzmán. Drugs, weapons, and cash were seized from them.

During simultaneous raids conducted in Zapopan, Jalisco, two members of the Lindoro family were identified as the father-in-law and brother-in-law of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, leader of 'Los Chapitos,' one of the factions of the now-divided Sinaloa Cartel. According to the Secretariats of the Navy (SEMAR) and National Defense (SEDENA), as well as elements from the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) and the Attorney General's Office (FGR), two residences were raided where relatives of Iván Archivaldo, heir to the criminal empire forged by his father Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, were located. In this way, Mario Alfredo Lindoro Navidad, 44 years old, alias '7,' brother-in-law of Archivaldo Guzmán, and his father-in-law Mario Lindoro Elenes, 69 years old, alias 'Niño,' were located and detained. In addition to being close relatives, the Lindoros were considered financial operators for Iván Archivaldo Guzmán. At the time of their capture, the Lindoros were in possession of seven bags of drugs, four short-barreled firearms, cartridges, magazines, two pickup trucks, a high-end vehicle, a motorcycle, communication equipment, and cash.
