Educational authorities have set the dates for the delivery of the Universal Scholarship cards for Basic Education Rita Cetina. This year, the program will benefit secondary school students and will later expand to primary and preschool students. The amount of the scholarship will be 1,900 pesos bimonthly. Additionally, families with two children enrolled in the program will receive an extra 700 pesos per student.
In 2025, it is expected that the scholarship will reach 5.7 million secondary students along with their families, according to announcements made by federal authorities.
Mario Delgado, head of the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP), had initially stated that the delivery of cards would start on January 20. However, the National Coordination of Scholarships for Well-Being has now announced that this delivery will take place from February 5 to March 28. The cards will be delivered by the Bank of Well-Being to the mothers, fathers, or guardians of the beneficiaries.
For those who are behind and have not yet registered in the program, there will be an opportunity during the card delivery period. Students who need to register can do so during the same period, from February 5 to March 28. The requirements to register for the Rita Cetina scholarship include a valid official identification of the mother, father, or guardian, proof of address, CURP of the mother, father, or guardian, and CURP of the student who will enroll in the program.
