The CUPRA brand has launched in Mexico the renewal of two of its most iconic models: the New CUPRA Formentor and the New CUPRA León. The former is priced at 999,900 MXN, while the León is available for 831,900 MXN. Both will feature a First Edition version with special characteristics such as specific matte colors, special rims, and Akebono brakes. Additionally, the seats are made of carbon fiber for greater exclusivity and lightness.
Regarding the CUPRA León, it is more of a technological and aesthetic update than a mechanical one, remaining one of the most agile front-wheel-drive compact sports hatchbacks on the market. On the other hand, the CUPRA Formentor stands out for its high power, positioning itself as a benchmark in the niche of compact sports SUVs. Mechanical elements such as brakes, steering, and tuning remain true to the spirit of the original model.
CUPRA has added distinctive touches to the designs of the renewed models, featuring characteristics such as 19-inch rims, a sunroof, and bucket seats inside. The 2025 Ibiza models include a warranty of up to 8 years or 100,000 kilometers, as well as insurance against theft of auto parts. The FR version of the Ibiza comes equipped with a 2.0 turbo TSI engine with 333 hp, a 7-speed DSG transmission, and 4Drive traction, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
The New CUPRA León integrates a 2.0 Turbo TSI engine with 300 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. The exterior design of both models stands out with an aggressive and modern character, featuring triangular matrix LED headlights and distinctive LED lighting at the rear. Additionally, both vehicles are equipped with Sennheiser audio systems, 12.9-inch touchscreens, Full Link Wireless connectivity, and advanced security systems with 10 airbags and driving assistants.
