The Government of Nuevo León has called on the population to make their renewal payment through the number 070, as this last week of January is the final opportunity to carry out this procedure by this means. Through a collaboration between the Secretary of Citizen Participation and the Vehicle Control Institute (ICV), 070 provides information services about debts, requirements, discounts, and the location of the nearest delegations, as well as general guidance 24/7.
During the period from January 1 to 26, 2025, 23,810 calls have been attended through 070, addressing topics such as Guidance (40%), Renewal Payment (27%), Change of Ownership and Vehicle Registration (9% each), License Renewal and Delegations (4% each), among others. Additionally, requests for certifications, first-time licenses, duplicates, and certificates have been received (1% each). This telephone service has been fundamental in streamlining procedures, particularly the payment of the renewal.
Due to the high demand for requests and the approaching deadline, Daniel Acosta Fregoso, head of the Secretary of Citizen Participation, urged the population to get up to date and contact 070 to expedite their procedure. Remote attention from the Vehicle Control Institute is available Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 hours and Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00 hours.
The collaboration between 070 and the Vehicle Control Institute offers citizens the possibility to consult services such as renewal, vehicle registration, issuance or replacement of plates, circulation card or driver's license, as well as to report issues and complaints about these services. Calling 070 allows citizens to save time, receive information about discounts, go to the nearest offices, and avoid going with incomplete documents.
The number 070, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, provides advice and guidance via telephone or WhatsApp, assisting taxpayers step by step in their payment process. The ICV also has a website (www.icv.gob.mx) that makes it easier for citizens to check debts and make electronic payments efficiently.
