The Tax Administration Service (SAT) has generated a wave of complaints among taxpayers due to serious failures in its new portal. The most recurring complaint is that, after entering their credentials, the system redirects users to the homepage without allowing them to access their services. This situation has prevented the filing of provisional declarations and downloading essential tax documents.
Some users have expressed their frustration on social media, reporting issues with downloading documents such as the compliance opinion and the Tax Situation Certificate (CSF). In light of this growing dissatisfaction, the SAT suggests that taxpayers try accessing from another browser or device, as well as clearing cookies, temporary files, and browser history as a temporary solution.
Despite the complaints, no official statement has been issued by the agency. However, a decrease in failures has been observed throughout the day. These issues on the SAT portal have occurred on a crucial date for taxpayers, causing discomfort among those who cannot complete their tax management efficiently.
Affected users have criticized the change in the platform without prior notice, questioning why it was implemented on a sensitive date such as payday. This is not the first time that the SAT has faced technical problems at key moments; previous episodes during annual declaration seasons and related services point to instability in the systems, although the agency assures that taxpayer information has not been compromised.
In light of the magnitude of the failures, some taxpayers are wondering if the SAT will grant an extension for monthly declarations due to the difficulties presented in its new portal.
