
The Government of Mexico has announced that adults over 65 years old will have the opportunity to register for the Senior Citizens Pension, Women Wellbeing Pension, and Disability Pension programs in February. The Secretary of Wellbeing, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, has stated that the registration period will be from February 17 to 28.
During the first two months of the year, more than 15.2 million people benefited from Wellbeing Programs in Mexico. Each two months, the Wellbeing modules in the country will carry out registrations for social programs aimed at elderly people and those with disabilities.
To register for the Wellbeing Pension, applicants must present the following documents at the Wellbeing modules: valid official identification, CURP, birth certificate, proof of address not older than six months, and a contact phone number. If unable to attend in person, an assistant can carry out the process with the same documentation.
Beneficiaries of the Wellbeing Pension will receive bimonthly support of 6,200 pesos on Wellbeing Cards. The Federal Government has invested around 76 billion pesos for the delivery of support to senior citizens. Registrations will be conducted according to the initial letter of the beneficiary's last name, following a calendar established by the Secretary of Wellbeing.
The registration calendar for the Wellbeing Pension by initial letter of the surname is as follows: - Monday, February 17 and 24: A, B, C - Tuesday, February 18 and 25: D, E, F, G, H - Wednesday, February 19 and 26: I, J, K, L, M - Thursday, February 20 and 27: N, Ñ, O, P, Q, R - Friday, February 21 and 28: S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z - All surnames: Saturday, February 22
The attention modules will be open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the specified dates to facilitate the registration of senior citizens and people with disabilities.
