Oxxo relaunches the Vikingo hot dog in 2025

In the years 2023 and 2024, the classic hot dog Vikingo disappeared completely from Oxxo stores in Mexico. However, this year its relaunch is announced.

According to Femsa, it is planned to expand the Vikingo offering with new flavors, proteins, sauces, and more practical formats. The products will be ready to heat at the moment and will offer customizable premium versions with toppings and stews in preparation modules at selected stores.

Oxxo has been promoting its prepared food business, called foodvenience, highlighting the quality, freshness, and practicality of its food, which is designed to go. In this context, Vikingo remains a key piece of the company's strategy, being a pioneer in the evolution of its prepared food offerings.

The Monterrey-based company expressed that they are renewing the Vikingo product to make it even more relevant and meet the changing needs of consumers, optimizing its value proposition. Within its foodvenience portfolio, Oxxo is also boosting businesses such as O'Sabor, which technically claims to be the largest taquería in Mexico, Doña Tota, Ditsch, and Andatti, along with alliances with external companies like Xignux and their melts.
