The same report indicates that 81% of workers claim to concentrate better when working from home, and 73% believe they manage their time better when out of the office. Additionally, 50% of Mexican employees mention experiencing fewer distractions when doing home office compared to an in-person setup.
On the other hand, while managers acknowledge that remote work benefits focus, time management, and work-life balance, significant differences arise regarding collaboration and teamwork. While a percentage of leaders mention that home office affects communication and organizational culture, employees argue the opposite, stating that it improves collaboration.
Furthermore, there are concerns about integration within teams. While some executives see remote work as an obstacle to building relationships among colleagues, the majority of employees claim it has strengthened their connection with their peers.
In light of this situation, Michael Page warns that it is essential to have alignment between leaders and teams to avoid conflicts and ensure a functional work environment for both parties. Adapting strategies that reinforce trust and improve collaboration in remote teams is crucial for retaining talent and being an attractive employer in the new labor dynamic.
