Users of various banks in Mexico, such as Santander, Banamex, and BBVA, report problems performing transactions through mobile applications and ATMs. The situation has generated dissatisfaction among customers, especially during this payday period.
Regarding Santander Mexico, users have expressed difficulty accessing the Supermobile app, and when contacting customer service, they only receive the suggestion to try again later. Some customers even mention that the only indications appearing in the app refer to internet connection issues.
On its part, Banamex also faces criticism from users upset about service interruptions, especially at key times such as payday, Fridays, and month-end. In light of this situation, banks have recommended users conduct their transactions directly at branches or ATMs while technical teams work to resolve the issues.
The situation has extended to BBVA Mexico, where users report failures not only in the mobile application but also in ATMs. On the other hand, no official communication has been issued by Banamex regarding difficulties in its digital platforms. Despite this, banks have been responding through social media to users' complaints and inquiries.
Finally, Downdetector has indicated problems in the Interbank Electronic Payment System (SPEI), which affects the sending and receiving of payments between banks. In light of this situation, Santander Mexico issued a statement indicating they are working to resolve the failures and suggesting users conduct their transactions on SuperNet or at ATMs.
