The Government of Mexico has announced the opening of registrations for the program Young People Building the Future 2025, an initiative aimed at young people aged 18 to 29 that offers opportunities for vocational training. Starting from April 1, 2025, new apprentices can register to receive financial support while developing skills in various productive sectors.
The Young People Building the Future program allows young people to undergo vocational training for 12 months in Work Centers of their choice. Once completed, they can obtain a certificate recognizing one year of work experience when seeking employment or to validate technical skills as a freelance worker or entrepreneur.
The program prioritizes young people living in municipalities with high rates of poverty and criminal incidence, as part of the Government of Mexico’s security strategy. Beneficiaries receive a monthly financial support of $8,480 pesos and have medical insurance provided by IMSS.
To register for the program, interested individuals must meet the requirements of being between 18 and 29 years old, not currently studying or working, register on the official program page or at mobile offices, and have a CURP, email address, telephone number, and postal code. Once registered, the apprentice must upload the required documents and select a Work Center to conduct an interview that will determine their acceptance.
At the end of the 12 months of training, the Work Center will generate a training certificate through its Digital Platform, which will detail the area of interest, the type of training, and the technical skills acquired during the program.
