Sheinbaum praised Ramírez de la O as a 'great economist' and emphasized his international and national perspective on economic issues, as well as his social commitment.

The president also mentioned that Ramírez de la O has been a disciple of Rogelio and that both agreed he would continue to support the administration in international matters and relations with the United States.

Sheinbaum stressed that Ramírez de la O's departure is not related to possible economic instabilities but rather is due to a previous agreement between both of them. She highlighted that Ramírez de la O will continue to collaborate with the government in his role as an international economic advisor.

Regarding his successor, Édgar Amador Zamora, Sheinbaum praised his academic background and experience, highlighting his closeness to Ramírez de la O and his commitment to the work he will carry out at the head of the SHCP. She underscored that Amador Zamora will continue to work together with the government to maintain the country's economic stability.

Sheinbaum clarified that since the beginning of her administration, Ramírez de la O had expressed his intention to remain until December 2024 to conclude the budget for the following year in an orderly manner. Finally, the president confirmed that Ramírez de la O will continue to collaborate with the government on international matters and in relations with the United States, while Amador Zamora has taken up his position at the head of the SHCP with commitment and academic preparation.
