The streaming platform Filmelier+ has arrived in Mexico, presenting a selection of gems from world cinema and offering subscribers the chance to enjoy new movies each month. This initiative is carried out by SOFA DGTL, creators of the channel Adrenalina Pura. Filmelier+ is already available in Brazil, Chile, and Colombia, and its launch coincides with a historic day for independent cinema, marked by the 2025 Oscar ceremony.
"With data intelligence, we analyze consumption patterns, listen to our audience, and monitor trends to select movies that people want to watch until the end," explained Fabio Lima, CEO of SOFA DGTL. The proposal of Filmelier+ is to offer a selective curation, highlighting good stories from various film genres that go beyond entertainment and seek to generate connections and memories for viewers.
One of the standout films in the catalog is "No Other Land," winner of the Best Documentary award at the Oscars. Directed by Gints Zilbalodis, the film tells the story of a lonely cat who, after losing its home in a flood, must join other species on a boat to survive. Moreover, the arrival of "Black Box Diaries," also nominated for an Oscar in the Best Documentary category is anticipated.
Alongside these titles, Filmelier+ offers a variety of films selected by its curation team, including works from renowned directors such as Pedro Almodóvar and Amos Gitai, classics like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," thrillers like "The Last Revenge," notable premieres like "The Last Pub," and dramas like "Swingers: The Limit of Love." Additionally, it is worth emphasizing that a large budget is not necessary to create works that impact the audience, as demonstrated by the reception of "Flow," which has already sold over 2 million tickets in theaters and has won over the Mexican audience.
Filmelier+ presents itself as a reliable streaming service, the result of nearly ten years of accumulated experience on Filmelier.com, a website specialized in cinema with a large audience in Latin America. Its goal is to simplify the movie selection process for users by offering an expert selection of authentic narratives from around the world that can move, represent, and connect with the viewer.
