New Vehicle Ownership Subsidy in Edomex

The Secretary of Finance, Óscar Flores Jiménez, announced a new vehicle ownership subsidy in the State of Mexico that will benefit two million residents. The financial support aims to alleviate family burden and is valid until March 31, 2025.


New Vehicle Ownership Subsidy in Edomex

The Government of the State of Mexico reported that the renewal for the year 2025 will cost 917 pesos for cars and 677 pesos for motorcycles. Óscar Flores Jiménez, Secretary of Finance, highlighted that a historic collection of 51 billion 420 million pesos was achieved thanks to innovative collection models, simplification of administrative processes, and the granting of incentives to companies and citizens of the state.

Flores Jiménez emphasized the importance of collaboration between society and the Government to achieve the transformation of the entity, stressing that healthy finances and efficient use of resources translate into better services for the population of Mexico.

Regarding the Vehicle Ownership Tax Subsidy Program 2025, it was noted that the Government expanded the subsidy for vehicle ownership from 400,000 to 550,000 pesos plus VAT, benefiting two million residents of Mexico. This program will be in effect until March 31, 2025, and the requirements include owning a vehicle with a valid license plate whose value does not exceed 550,000 pesos for cars and 115,000 pesos for motorcycles, as well as presenting the payment receipt for the 2024 ownership tax and being a physical person residing in the State of Mexico.
