Telcel Introduces Flexible Payment Plans for Users

The telecommunications company Telcel has announced the end of mandatory term contracts in its mobile phone plans. From now on, Telcel packages are more flexible and practical, offering more Gigas and the possibility of obtaining Cashback. Patricia Hevia, director of region 9 of Telcel, along with Renato Flores, Deputy Director of Communications, informed the public about the changes in payment schemes.

In a press conference, they explained that the plans are now free from 12, 18, or 24-month terms, in contrast to previous schemes. This gives users the freedom to try a scheme for a set period or to change their rate without penalty if their needs vary. This new choice option, which facilitates access to technology and mobile device brands, allows users to decide whether they want to purchase a phone along with their plan, buy it separately, or keep their current device.

Hevia mentioned that the Cashback benefits range from 5% to 42%, depending on the contracted scheme, and can be used to purchase products within the Telcel ecosystem. The available plans range in price from 249 pesos a month with 4 gigabytes to the Libre VIP with 40 gigabytes, which include access to social networks, minutes, and SMS. These plans have been designed considering the increase in mobile data consumption, providing users with a greater amount of navigation gigas.

For example, in the case of parents who recharge their children's phones, they now have the possibility to try a flexible plan where, if they run out of gigas, they can purchase more or set limits without losing communication. Although prepaid plans remain available in Telcel's commercial offering, the company has highlighted that thanks to its investments in infrastructure, its 5G network is present in 125 cities and covers 77 million inhabitants.

In response to the new needs and consumption habits of users, Telcel has launched the Telcel Libre Plans, redefining the postpaid experience with more benefits and total flexibility.
