Credit Growth in Mexico at 40%

The CEO of Grupo Financiero Monex, Mauricio Naranjo, highlighted positive aspects despite the current environment and emphasized the importance of staying alert. According to records from the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), by the end of 2024 Monex achieved a total credit portfolio of 54,622 million pesos, with an annual growth of 40 percent.

Naranjo stressed the need to boost investment, following the government strategy to face current commercial challenges. He emphasized the importance of increasing credit to finance the entry of more capital into the country and highlighted the significance of reaching favorable trade agreements with Canada and the United States.

He emphasized that clarity in international trade relations is crucial for the growth of exports and imports, especially in a scenario of global uncertainty. Monex's business financing grew by 38 percent, reaching a balance of 41,352 million pesos.

Mauricio Naranjo underscored the necessity of maintaining the bank's solidity and stability, as well as the importance of being alert and able to react to market changes. It is expected that the review of the USMCA in 2026 will impact financial markets, making it crucial for Monex to remain prepared.
