With road conservation investments exceeding 516 million pesos in 2025, the state government reported progress in infrastructure, water access, environment, and digital connectivity as part of the 'Guanajuato is Harmony' axis, presented to the local Congress. During the Second Report's speech, the Secretary of Public Works, Juan Pablo Pérez Beltrán, stated that the approach combines construction, territorial ordering, and sustainability under a comprehensive development logic.
Promoting Connectivity and Strategic Projects
Among the main results, the conservation of 2,640 kilometers of the State Road Network was reported, aiming to improve the safety and functionality of the roads. The operation of the La Libertad Boulevard, connecting San Miguel de Allende with Dolores Hidalgo, was also highlighted, as well as the progress on the Silao–San Miguel de Allende highway, projected under a concession scheme with an estimated investment of 6,091 million pesos. This is added to the rehabilitation of the Guanajuato–Silao highway and the promotion of the federal passenger train project as a bet on regional mobility.
Bet on More Human Mobility and Digitalization
In mobility, the state reports 196 kilometers of bike lanes in 25 municipalities, along with improvements at pedestrian crossings. In parallel, the 'Free Internet for the People' program reached over 1,450 access points and 113 million connections, expanding coverage in urban and rural areas.
Strengthening the Environment and Water Management
In the environmental axis, the participation of more than 186,000 people in care actions was reported, in addition to the integration of 2,000 environmental guards in 34 municipalities. The Environmental Prosecutor's Office attended 740 complaints, opened 1,254 files, and conducted 491 inspections. In water, the projects benefit more than 35,000 people with drinking water and 157,000 with drainage and sanitation, in addition to strategic projects such as the Presa Solís Aqueduct and the technological upgrading of Irrigation District 011.
Transparency and Citizen Follow-up
During the appearance, the 'Transparent Concessions' portal was also highlighted as a tool to monitor the use of public resources. The secretary affirmed that the results are reflected in better connectivity, access to basic services, and opportunities for families, with continuity of work in the territory.
