Ana Paola Villegas launches the 'Upset, but with money' manual

Ana Paola Villegas, a renowned financial advisor and founder of Mompreneur México, has decided to break the taboos surrounding money with her new book: 'Despechada, pero con lana' (Upset, but with money). In an interview with Publimetro, the author revealed that the provocative title stems from her own personal experience after her divorce, when she found herself 'upset and without a penny,' and from her desire to transform a traditionally 'boring' topic into something fun and everyday. The book presents 10 real-life stories of women of different ages and social classes, adapted in a novelistic tone thanks to the collaboration of writer Andrea Carreto. With this honesty, Villegas seeks to encourage women to break the cycle of passivity, stating that 'what I want to achieve is for women to take action, not just accumulate knowledge.' A call to action for all generations. The book not only addresses success but also the tragedies that occur due to a lack of tools. These chronicles expose common patterns that keep women from financial success, such as the reluctance to talk about money with a partner or the psychological belief that they do not 'deserve' abundance for fear of appearing ambitious. Her goal is for money to stop being a 'distant and boring' topic and to become something 'fun and down-to-earth' that protects the entire family. The text serves as a generational consciousness about the importance of having financial tools to avoid depending on others in old age or facing medical crises without savings. Despite the strength of her message aimed at women, the author clarified that her vision is inclusive: 'It's not women against men, we are a team.' Villegas warns that 'the person who has no savings... if they get sick, they won't be able to pay the hospital bills.' For those who wish to begin their journey to financial freedom, the book is now available worldwide in physical and digital formats through Amazon. The official presentation will take place on March 25th at Casa Dalia, in Las Lomas, with the participation of actress Erika de la Rosa and Manolo Atala, CEO of Fair Play México. According to Villegas, the fear of being judged as 'ambitious' or the reluctance to talk about finances with a partner are the real walls that build poverty. The motivation behind this project is deeply personal. Villegas confessed that the title is not just a marketing hook, but a reflection of her past: 'When I got divorced, I was upset and broke, and now, 10 years later, I feel that I am perhaps still upset, but with money.' Villegas emphasizes that the purpose is for readers to stop accumulating only knowledge and start taking action to have resources in their own name. The author did not hold back in explaining why so many people live on the edge: 'Money is not money, it is the belief we have about money that is preventing us from having peace.'
