Within the framework of the Legislative Thursdays promoted by CONCANACO SERVYTUR, Deputy Gabriela Jiménez Godoy held a meeting with business leaders from the service sector to analyze the scope of the legislative agenda on strategic infrastructure, investment, and development with well-being, as well as its implications for family businesses in the country. During the meeting, it was highlighted that Mexico is at a decisive juncture due to the relocation of supply chains and the associated opportunities of nearshoring, making it essential to have a modern legal framework that provides legal certainty, strengthens confidence, and promotes long-term vision projects. In this context, Deputy Gabriela Jiménez emphasized the importance of the approval in the Chamber of Deputies of the Law for the Promotion of Investment in Strategic Infrastructure for Development with Well-being, promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum. This will allow Mexico to consolidate itself as an industrial engine of North America, articulate economic growth with social well-being, and make viable projects that reach the entire country, especially the regions that need it most. For CONCANACO SERVYTUR, this dialogue represents an opportunity to strengthen the articulation between legislative discussion and the economic reality faced daily by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the commerce, services, and tourism sectors, particularly those that sustain employment, formality, and productive activity in the regions. The Confederation recognized that this new Law incorporates relevant elements to order, plan, and make strategic projects viable, through mixed participation schemes, institutional coordination mechanisms, budgetary provisions, award rules, transparency, and accountability. Therefore, during the meeting, it was emphasized that after its processing in the Senate, the potential of the Law must be leveraged to translate the norm into concrete results in the territory, with an impact on local supply, the strengthening of productive chains, and greater opportunities for companies and family businesses. In this sense, the importance of understanding infrastructure not only as public works but as a true development policy capable of detonating competitiveness, regional integration, economic mobility, and shared benefits for communities was raised. Likewise, it was agreed that the country requires an investment vision that, in addition to generating certainty for large projects, incorporates local economies, boosts the participation of the productive sector, and promotes more favorable conditions for those who are part of the daily economy of Mexico. Through the Legislative Thursdays, CONCANACO SERVYTUR reaffirms its role as an interlocutor for the business sector before the Legislative Power, promoting spaces for dialogue, analysis, and proposal that allow enriching the public agenda with the voice of those who firsthand know the challenges of operation, competitiveness, and formality. The meeting with Deputy Gabriela Jiménez Godoy allowed aligning priorities between the business sector and the national legislative agenda, with an emphasis on legal certainty, regional development, and community impact, under a vision that places economic growth at the service of well-being. Finally, CONCANACO SERVYTUR reiterated its willingness to continue accompanying, from institutional dialogue and technical proposal, all those initiatives that strengthen investment, boost the domestic market, and turn legislative changes into concrete opportunities for millions of companies and family businesses throughout the country.
