Amidst the global energy transition and the urgent need to reduce emissions, the second day of the Expo Mexico Energy & Industry Hub (MEiH) 2026 reaffirmed its relevance as a space for dialogue between entrepreneurs, authorities, and sector experts in Mexico.
The day began with the keynote address “Mexico 2030, sustainability and sustainability in action.” The speech emphasized the need to ensure stable conditions for energy operations, an essential element for attracting capital and ensuring the continuity of strategic projects.
Looking ahead to the final day, the agenda will focus on topics such as electromobility, sustainable logistics, green financing, and business opportunities in North America. Additionally, an academic panel with universities will be held, strengthening the connection between knowledge, innovation, and industrial development.
With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainability, Expo MEiH is consolidating as a key platform to drive the transformation of the energy sector in Mexico, at a time when advancing towards cleaner and more efficient models is essential.
This meeting made it possible to identify investment areas, consolidate alliances, and address relevant challenges, such as infrastructure and the regulatory framework.
Among the participants were prominent industry representatives, including Vanessa Serrano from Grupo TMM; Alfredo Bejos Inclán, from the Mexican Association of Natural Gas; Elizabeth Mar Juárez, from the Mexican Oil Institute; Enrique Félix Robelo, from Onexpo Nacional; and Juan Acra, from the Mexican Energy Council.
It was pointed out that migrating to cleaner sources not only responds to an environmental commitment but also opens up strategic opportunities to strengthen national competitiveness.
In line with this approach, Ian de la Garza, CEO and co-founder of Finsolar, highlighted the boom in solar energy as an expanding market.
His presence underscores the importance of the event as a driver of initiatives that shape the country's energy course.
In the security sphere, General Saúl Luna Jaimes, from the National Guard, participated as a special guest to dialogue with the business sector.
Isabel Studer, president of Global Sustainability, highlighted the role of alternative fuels and technological innovation as pillars to face climate change.
She explained that the reduction in technological costs, along with the growing interest from investors, has driven the adoption of photovoltaic solutions, particularly in the industrial and commercial sectors.
One of the key moments was the private meeting of the 100 Energy Sector Leaders, a space designed to promote exchange among decision-makers.
