To facilitate tax compliance, the government headed by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez maintains subsidies and payment facilities for the vehicle ownership tax, in addition to offering accessible options to carry out the process quickly and securely. The Ministry of Finance reported that taxpayers can generate their payment line through the official portal, where they only need to enter the license plate number to make the payment online or at more than 5,000 authorized points in the entity. As additional support, the option to pay in 3 and 6 months without interest with participating credit cards has been enabled, which allows families to distribute the expense without affecting their economy. The program includes subsidies of up to 100 percent on the 2026 vehicle tax, as as well as condonations for those who settle debts or register vehicles from other entities. The state agency emphasized that all procedures are free, so it urged citizens to avoid intermediaries or “coyotes” and use only official channels to prevent fraud.
