The president highlighted that job creation in the state was more than double that of Jalisco and over three times higher than that of the State of Mexico. Santos Reyna also revealed that these are high-quality jobs. According to IMSS, the average salary in Nuevo León's industry is 15% higher than the national average. "This trend is accompanied by positive results from the March expectations survey, where an increase in orders, production, and plant capacity utilization was observed." Despite the optimism, Caintra considers it essential to work with authorities to maintain the growth pace. Among the chamber's specific requests are: Improve mobility: Increase public transportation routes to industrial areas to support workers from SMEs without private vehicles. Technical training: Strengthen workers' skills through the Dual Education model. Deregulation: Reduce regulatory burdens and accelerate the digitalization of processes so companies can focus on production. Jorge Santos Reyna, president of the Transformation Industry Chamber (Caintra) of Nuevo León, stated that this positive forecast is based on a recovery in business confidence compared to early 2025. That period was marked by uncertainty due to the review of the trade treaty. Santos Reyna explained that progress in international dialogues has been key to improving the productive sector's expectations. "The forecast is for the economy in Nuevo León to grow by 4% and for more than 27,000 jobs to be created. So we are indeed in a positive perspective that this can be achieved," affirmed the Caintra leader. Santos Reyna indicated that while challenges persist, communication between Mexican authorities and its trading partners has taken a favorable turn. "As dialogues between the two governments' authorities and everything that has been gathered from the business ecosystems have progressed, it gives us certainty that the talks are on the right track." This greater certainty, he assured, has had a direct impact on current industrial activity, reflected in increased demand and production. The organization's president highlighted that this climate of stability has raised expectations and, consequently, the installed capacity of companies in the region. The state's industry rebounds The state's manufacturing industry started the year with a notable economic recovery, consolidating Nuevo León as the engine of job creation in the country, expressed the Caintra president. During the first three months of 2026, the transformation sector achieved the creation of 17,325 new jobs, representing a 45% increase compared to the same period last year. Santos Reyna emphasized that these figures are a clear indication of the sector's reactivation after a period of challenges. "The most recent data from Nuevo León's industry show that the first quarter of the year represented an economic reactivation with a direct impact on the generation of manufacturing jobs," he stated.
